STORE giant Asda is to sell school uniforms for only £4.75. The firm is launching a one-price-fits-all range for children aged three to 16. The ten-day special begins tomorrow — long before youngsters have even broken up for the summer holidays. Anthony Thompson, head of the supermarket’s fashion label George at Asda, told The Sun: “It might be depressing for kids to think about, but this will be fantastic news for mums and dads."
Britain’s back-to-school market is worth an estimated £13BILLION. It covers clothing, satchels, bags and other school equipment.
Asda is charging £3 for two packs of two polo shirts, £3 for two packs of sweatshirts and £5 for two packs of trousers or skirts. That makes the cost of dressing one child £4.75.
Asda launched a similar range for £4 last year but that applied only to three to 12-year-olds. Mr Thompson said that the quality this year was also far better.
That's cheap......still not as good as the £50 wedding dress....still my favourite!
